They Started in New Jersey with Gerald Way (vocalist) and his friend since high school Matt Pelissier thought they should start a band. The First song they wrote together was "Skylines And Turnstiles". Way then asked guitarist Ray Toro to join the pair. The line up of My Chemical Romance complete when Gerard Way's brother Mikey and Frank Iero joined. Until now, the have released three albums. The first one was "I brought you my bullets, You brought me your love". Many of their songs are loud, fast, hyper, and aggressive, but My Chemical Romance's work also tends to be melodic and pop-minded. Later, they made a concept album named "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge." It's about two lovers who die in a gunfight in the desert. The man arrives in hell, but his lover is not there. He learns he must bring 1,000 souls to hell to be reunited with his lover. Although some of their songs wander off the plotline, it related to their own lives. Songs in this record are relentlessly loud, intense, fast and dark. The famous songs in this album are Helena, The Ghost of You and I'm not Okay (I promise). And in this year, they released another one, the one that I have been waiting for so long, The Black Parade.
It's about a man who's going to die from cancer. He knows he dosn't have much time. They say that dead is not to be afraid of, but it's just the beginning of new journey. In my opinion for this one, it's the best of them. I can't get enough of it. I listen over and over again.
This is the line up of this band.
Gerard Way - Vocals
Mikey Way - Bass
Frank Iero - Rhythm Guitar
Ray Toro - Lead Guitar
Matt Pelissier - Drums (replace by Bob Bryar in third record)
